
Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority to Partner with IATA for Workforce Training
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) plans to collaborate with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to provide quality training for its staff. This partnership aims to strengthen the skills and knowledge of NCAA’s workforce and improve aviation safety and efficiency in Nigeria.
The Acting Director General of NCAA, Capt. Chris Najomo, shared this development during a strategic meeting with IATA’s leadership. The meeting, held at the NCAA headquarters in Abuja, was attended by IATA’s Regional Vice President for Africa & the Middle East, Mr. Kamil H. Al-Awadhi.

During the discussions, Capt. Najomo emphasized the importance of continuous training and retraining for the NCAA team to keep up with global standards in the aviation industry. He stated that partnering with IATA would help the authority stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in aviation, ensuring that Nigerian airspace remains safe and secure.
