AirAsia to Launch Nairobi-Kuala Lumpur Route, its First African Destination
In a major move for African aviation, Air Asia has announced its new route from Nairobi to Kuala Lumpur, marking the airline’s first entry into the African continent. The maiden flight is set to land in Nairobi on November 15, 2024.
“Travelers can enjoy affordable fares, with a one-way economy ticket priced at just USD 170. Business class travelers will pay USD 500, a competitive rate for premium service.” AirAsia’s CEO, Benjamin Ismail, expressed excitement about this milestone, highlighting the airline’s commitment to connecting Africa and Asia with budget-friendly options.
This new route is expected to strengthen trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between the two regions while offering more travel choices for passengers.
